"What happened to the other ear?" said the doctor, persisting.

The Koala What Loves His Toke

A koala was sitting up in a gum tree, smoking a joint.

When a little Lizard walked past and looked up and said:

"Hey, Koala! What are you doing?"

The Koala says: "Smoking a joint. Come up and have some."

So the little Lizard climbed up and sat next to the Koala and they burned a few. After awhile, the little Lizard says his mouth was "dry" and he was going to get a drink from the river. But the little Lizard was so stoned that he leaned too far over and fell into the river.

A crocodile saw this and swam over to the little Lizard and helped him to the side. Then he asked the little Lizard, "What's the matter with you?"

The little Lizard explained to the crocodile that he was sitting, smoking a joint with the Koala in the tree, got too stoned and then fell into the river while trying to get a drink.

The crocodile says he has to check this out. He walks into the rain forest, finds the tree where the Koala is sitting, finishing a joint, and he looks up and says, "Hey, you!!"

So the Koala looks down at him and says:

"Holy shiiiiiite, dude!! How much water did you drink?"

And He's Got Pockets in His Pocket Protector

So this nerd is visiting NYC, and a hotel clerk tells him a riddle/joke: "My mother and dad had a baby. It wasn't my brother; it wasn't my sister. Who was it?"

The nerd gives up. And the clerk says, "It was me!"

"Ho, ho," goes the nerd. "That is terrific. I can tell that back home."

Once back home he gathers a bunch of his relatives together and begins the riddle: "My mom and dad had a baby. It wasn't my brother. It wasn't my sister. Who was it?"

Naturally, beins as they is all of the Nerd Family persuasion, they give up.

Toes to Toes, the Nose Is In It....

A woman in her late 40s went to a plastic surgeon for a face lift. The doc tells her of a new procedure called "The Knob." A small knob is implanted on the back of a woman's head and can be turned to tighten uip the skin to produce the effect of a brand new facelift forever. Of course, the woman wanted "The Knob."

Fifteen years later the woman goes back to the surgeon for a consultation.

"All these years everything has been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob on lots of occasions and I've loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems. First of all, I've got these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them."

The doc looks at her and says, "Those aren't bags; those are your breasts."

And she replies, "Well, I guess that explains the goatee."

How-de Doo From the Boondocks

I will soon get this out of my system. But I just had to do a talkie (or two; I got one in reserve). I think this works better than singin', but you'll be the judges of that. Actual, this Singshot thing is kinda addictive, ifn u likes country music. (I suppose it would be addictive just as well if you was into rap and cocaine; I don't know.) Anyway, here 'tis, Down in the Boondocks.

I was at the mall the other day eatin' at the food court. There was this teenager sittin' next to me who looked sorta weird. He had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange and blue.

I couldn't help but stare. The teenager noticed this, and every time he turned my way he could see I was ogling him. So he asked, in a sarcastic way, "What's the matter, old man? Never done anything wild in your life?"

I didn't bat an eye. And I said, "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wonderin' if you was my son."

His wife likes to talk on the phone during sex. She called him from Chicago last night.

See, nearly two years ago I wrote a little missive about my life in the Old Cacklers' Home, and it went somethin' like this:

"I asked Nervous Nelly this: If you were administrator here, would you populate this place with more people like you, or with more people like me?"

And so I just got to wonderin' how I could make this useful for more folks. So, here's my question: "If somebody has to die, would you rather it was you, or me?"

So I looked up the site what lets you do this, and I sang songs and song-sang, etc. None was worth diddly squat.

So, I said to myself (I often talk to myself; it's the American Way), "Hoss, jest admit you ain't no country singer star, put up your best worst effort and see if that'll satisfy Miss Laurie Jane, a babe what hangs out at New Orleans in Texas.

Can She Bake a Cherry Pie, Charming Guadalupe?

Why fewer and fewer young lads decide to marry.

+ + + + + + + +

My local newspaper recently ran a picture of a lady, Guadalupe Rodriguez, at a makeshift shrine dedicated to a cooking sheet in Houston. Here's what the caption said: "Rodriguez, a cafeteria worker at Pugh Elementary, discovered the likeness of the Virgin Mary on a cooking sheet while cleaning lunch dishes on Ash Wednesday."

I have seen lots of stories like this. I have never seen the newspaper ask, "Which Virgin Mary?" Consider:

Now then, whicha these Virgins is the real deal? To those who find the doll all over the place (on a piece of toast, in ice-frozen windows, for instance), the Virgin Mary is the classic Virgin Mary. So what do we make of these Virgin Marys? Did you know that Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Titian, Botticelli and hundreds of other painters have painted "pictures" of the Virgin Mary -- all of them looking different from each other. We don't know which is accurate, for they did not have any Canon digital cameras when the V Mary was alive.

My guess is that Guadalupe is deceiving herself and others. That is, everybody knows they didn't have cooking sheets back then.

Michael said, "Just a minute. I have to go pee."

The teacher (this is my buddy Margaret, I'm thinking) replied, "That would be rude and impolite. What about you, Paul, how would you say it?"

"I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back."

Margaret responded, "That's better, but it's still not very mannerly to say the word 'bathroom' at the table. And you, Johnny, are you able to use your intelligence for once and show us your good manners?"

A Missive From Miss Chicago/Florida

Hoo boy. I found a friendly library in Manzanita. So far, so good. Nine days to go.

+ + + + + + + +

My good buddy Vicki has sent me a worthy post. You all know Vicki, late of Ann Arbor, MI, now of Chicago, but more recently abiding near Tampa, FL, watching tornados fly overhead.

MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE

What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never get pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. Hell, you can wear NO shirt to a water park.

Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to anotehr gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't hve to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress: $5,000. Tux rental: $100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. The occasional well-rendered belch is not only appreciated by your friends, but practically expected. New shoes don't cut, blister of mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks.

A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.

Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck. You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

(Ain't that swell? But I still like women like you, Vicki.)

Out of the Mouths of Babes Dept.

I swiped this from someplace, maybe over where the perverts hang out:

A man and a woman were driving down the road, arguing about his deplorable infidelity when suddenly the woman reached over, sliced the man's weenee off, and angrily tossed it out the window.

Driving behind the couple were a man and his 6-year-old daughter. The little girl was chatting away at her father when all of a sudden the johnson smacked their car windshield, stuck for a moment, then flew off.

Surprised, the daughter asked her father, "Daddy, what was that?"

Not wanting to expose his little girl to anything sexual at such a young age, the father replied, "It...it was only a bug, honey."

The daughter sat with a confused look on her face, and after a moment said, "Sure had a big dick, didn't it?"

Honors to Pluto and Bre'r Rabbit

As you all know, rabbits are the Big Kahuna when the first of the month rolls around. What you do is say Rabbit! Rabbit! and all your cares and woes and troubles and so on disappear and you get good luck the whole month long. THIS WORKS! I know it does, because I have not died in any preceding month, and how much better luck than that do you want?

+ + + + + + + +

This is also the time of the month when various and sundry ilk of us award our Perfect Post awards. Perfect Post is the childbrain of Momma K and Lucinda. Go to either site to see the URLs of all the Perfect Posters.

My Perfect Post goes to Sim, aka Pluto, and can be found here. It's a short little ditty about a much-needed New Year's resolution. Will take you only 10 seconds, so "go."

Twice as Many Alligators

Here's one of those fine cartoons done by my buddy Sim, at Plutos the Bubblemans. You should visit him often, for he has a great turn of mind, cartoonish-wise.

A fella reports to me how everyone seems to be concentrating on the problems we're having in this country lately -- illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, wild animals attacking humans in Florida.

So he goes on to say that he concentrates, too, and has the solutions:

1. We dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
2. We use the dirt to raise the levies in New Orleans.
3. We put the Florida alligators in the moat.

And from my buddy Vicki:

An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large piece of property for many years. He had a large pond in the back, that he had surrouonded with picnic tables, horseshoe courts and some apple and peach trees.

One evening, the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there in some time. He grabbed a five-gallong bucket to bring back some apples and peaches. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence, and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"

The old man frowned. "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked, or make you get out of the pond naked." Holding the bucket over his head, he said, "I'm just here to feed the alligator."

The therapist says, "My dear, that's completely normal. I don't see what the problem is."

The lady responds, "The problem is, it wakes me up!"

QUIET SEX: Tired of a listless sex life, the man came right out and asked his wife during a recent lovemaking session, "How come you never tell me when you have an orgasm?"

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY SEX: A husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary. The husband yells, "When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads: 'Here lies my wife -- cold as ever.'"

"Yeah," she replies, "and when you die I'm getting you a headstone that reads: 'Here lies my husband -- stiff at last.'"

WOMEN'S HUMOROUS SEX: Her husband came home with a tube of K-Y Jelly and said, "This will make you happy tonight."

Guess What His Name Is

A woman is fast approaching 40 years of age and is without a partner. This situation has her rather depressed due to a long history of failed relationships. After much debate, she decides that the best thing to do is take out a personal ad in the newspaper.

"Wanted: A good lover to be my friend, one who won't beat me and won't run out on me."

After a week or so no one has responded, and she is feeling particularly depressed when the doorbell rings. She opens the front door to find a man with no arms and no legs lying on the front porch. Quite surprised, she asks what he wants.

He replies, "I'm responding to your ad for a good lover."

"How can that be?" she inquires. "You have no arms or legs."

"I have no arms so I can't beat you and I have no legs so I can't run out on you," he said.

"What about being a good lover?"

"I rang the doorbell didn't I?"

(Do you remember this guy's name? It was Matt.)

Great News in the Morning

A guy walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm, and tells the bartender: "Gimme me a beer -- and how about one for the road?"

+ + + + + + + +

My buddy Vicki has sent me a swell story, for which I am thankin' her mightily:

The day after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident, an Anchorage man answered his door to find trwo grim-faced Alaska State Troopers.

"We're sorry, Mr. Wilkens, but we have some information about your wife," says one trooper.

"Tell me! Tell me! Did you find her?" Wilkens shouted.

The troopers looked at each other, and finally one said, "We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news. Which do you want to hear first?"

Fearing the worst, an ashen Mr. Wilkens said, "Give me the bad news first."

The trooper said, "I'm sorry to tell you sir, but this morning we found your wife's body in Kachemak Bay."

"Oh my God!" exclaimed Wilkens. Swallowing hard, he asked, "What's the good news?"

The trooper continued, "When we pulled her up, she had 12 25-pound king crabs and 6 good-size Dungeness crabs clinging to her."

Mr. Wilkens demanded, "If that's the good news, what's the great news?"

The trooper said, "We're going to pull her up again tomorrow."
